Art & Artists

At Art & Orchids you will be surrounded by art; not just on the walls but on the grounds as well, as we appreciate the art of gardening.

Over the years we have collected art from mainland as well as Hawaii artists. We also try to take time ourselves to make art. We sell art made by ourselves, as well as from our neighbors, Michael Eich, James Kirkpatrick, Luke Bailey, and Karen Hagen. The beauty of the surroundings may be why there are many artists in this area.

We also have photographs from Warren Simons, a good friend who lives in New York City. Many of his photos are reflections. According to Warren, "reflections have the power to bend and blur light, line, color, and reality—to turn a daily scene into an art form."

If you plan ahead, we will be happy to teach you how to make & recycle paper, marble paper, fused and slumped glass, mosaics, and bead work. We will also baby sit your children while giving them art lessons. Please contact us for prices.
